Rear Tyre Question

Have you located the radiator cap and where in the riders manual does it say what antifreeze/coolant to use?
Hi BlackDog - I actually do not own one yet. Fence sitting because of the rear suspension. Been keeping check on all the forum posts on suspension. Then read about the bagger and reworked suspension on the TC and B. Read also about the TT Black T rear shocks stage 4 but have not really seen reviews. I would really like the R18 FE (no fairing, no screens, no music system etc etc) but with the rear suspension from the R18B... too much to hope for. Waiting for BMW to see some worth in reworking the R18 FE rear suspension

I was going to change the rear shock on my R18C but found out that the extra weight of the side car(200lbs) made the bike ride almost plush. Now with my 105lb wife in the car the suspension is perfect.
My advise is to find a better rear shock when someone comes out with one if you don't want to add a sidehack,or
get yourself a 305 pound girlfriend,LOL!

Curious …. Have always had a thing for sidecars … in my country that makes you as wide as a car so no filtering . But if you would not mind sharing a pic of how it looks set up with a sidecar I .would be delighted … also I guess a “quick release ” kind of system does not exist with a sidecar rig ? Say one wanted to run the bike without the side car rig one morning … I guess that is a toolkit job and not just flipping some levers ….?

Hannigan does do a quick disconnect for their sidecar.I have a 2 wheeler so the R18C will stay attached.I really love it!

So, what is your insight into the W12 used in the Bentley Continental GT?
Please be specific, I would not want to complete the purchase of one without your expert opinion.

The feedback on the TT shock and a ewe tube showing an ohlins install indicates to me that the R18 will see other suspension options from various manufacturers fairly soon. It's a basic shock and having run ohlins, wilbers, tractive and others over the years I can't imagine there aren't several easily cross referenced components waiting to be listed for our bikes. Personally I will wait for one that offers a little longer travel before I'd spend a bunch of $ and go with better matched springs etc., if I was not able to find a reasonable adjustment setting for my weight and use.
