Croton Falls Reservoir while it was frozen this winter
Croton Falls, NY
Hi @nielsm, so I see you installed the solo weekender, how did you end up fastening the seat at the back? I mean, the bracket at the back flies way up from the fender. Did you press it all the way down so it ended up flush mount to the fender?

Should I try that?
I used the spacer to avoid forcing the bracket, but the looks is terrible, the silver semi-circle kind of floats over the fender. Check out how it looks here:

You should rip the spacer, the saddle rubber pads are probably not in contact with the fender.
And yes, the look is terrible 🤣

The seat sitting is firm. It is actually the real position for the pillion passenger seat to be inserted in that spacer IF you decide to install it. For the same reason the bracket at the back of the driver's stays like an inch or so over the fender. I did not want to force it down and just used the spacer even though I am not inserting the pillion. That is my question for the ones not using their pillion, they may have pressed hard the bracket in the driver's seat down so it gets leveled to the fender...

And yeah, it looks weird lol

Fort Caswell lighthouse in North Carolina. not the best photography work, but it was a fun trip. Had to park too close to the lighthouse to get the whole thing in the picture.
