R18 - Aftermarket ECU options

I was going to ask if the OBD reader could be used in the conventional manner but having read your FAQ's I see it can.

Our shipping API works directly from UPS and their own rates. We don't control the rates and they do change based on UPS changes.
Sorry guys, should have read your faq's. Great website btw with great video.

One question I did not see was "is it MAC compatible? "

Thanks.

It is not MAC compatible, nor is the GS-911. I installed BootCamp on my MacBook and that application allows you to switch between MacOS and Windows.

@bt-moto (or anyone else) - Where can I find the OBD 2 connector on my R18 TC?
I received the kit and updated the handheld. Now I just need to find the connector to plug it into!

I’m pretty certain this is what you’re looking for? I’m in the midst of trying to update my software but keep getting an error code which is a bummer because I was going to try and get the email out by tomorrow morning. I’m restoring my computer to factory settings then starting fresh. Hopefully it helps.

Did you get any errors? Specifically [E000002]. I’m assuming it’s on my computers end. I got a really cheap PC for tuning things. Thought by restoring it to factory then installing all updates I could solve the problem. Happened again.

Frustrating. Now I am worried about the cheap laptop I just ordered. Gl!

Seems rambler didn’t have a problem tho. Just checked and I’m pretty sure I meet all system requirements. Like I said, was trying to be able to send the email tonight but oh well. It’s prolly something simple that won’t happen for you.

I did get a minor notification about a DLL (can’t remember exactly), but it continued on without issue. Maybe it was from being on Windows 11, but not sure.
I was able to get the stock tune loaded onto the hand-held, and then save it to my PC. I emailed the file to Bren Tuning, so I’m hoping I can get the Stage 1 tune back before end of day tomorrow (Friday) to load it and test it over the weekend.

Definitely computer end. Usually a laptop or PC with at least Windows 10 works the best for the handheld software.

Oh. Mine was a dLL error as well. It worked eh? In that case I’ll get up before business hours, download stock tune and send email.

Yeah I checked system requirements and I have 64, plenty of room and windows 10. Going to try getting the stock tune loaded like rambler. I second the comment about the good video and website.

Glad you did. Now can you tell me. Haha! Took off left panel and there is nothing that looks like what shown in the manual….
Just dig. Lol. I found mine by mistake I think. Actually I removed the switch for the rear lights and it's right there behind it.

Apparently the positioning of the ODB2 connector is different, depending on if you have the 2022 B/TC model or the earlier model. But it’s still under the left side panel.

I've accessed my diagnostic socket a few times and it is not behind the left cover but behind the right side panel...2021 FE
