"It will be $ 603.28 for us to install for new BMW pads and mounting hardware, for both, the front and the rear"
That's what I was quoted by my local BMW dealership for replacing the brake pads.
I am waiting, as I'm typing this, to find out if the Service manager will "approve" the brake pads I...
One other thing I would like to know is if trading in your R18 or simply selling it has ever crossed your mind.
I know it did cross mine, especially in the last month, month and a half.
I would like to pull the trigger sooner rather than later. Not happy with the actual trade in value of my 2021...
On the bike for about 60 miles.
Decided to revert to stock.
It comes with instructions. Everything is in the box the way I received it.
It cost me $160.00 total, shipped from Greece.
$120.00 delivered in the US only.
A brief reminder to those that fall into temptation and become blind to the esthetic refinements most of the BMW motorcycles possess..
Stop butchering this work of art with your poor taste. This bike is not a Honda and it's not a Harley Davidson either.
Those German engineers and designers do...
Has any of you performed this maintenance procedure yet?
I am not talking about taking the bike to the stealership and have them perform this service.
I hope someone that went through the whole process in his garage will reply to this thread.
I have a few very specific questions I would like to...
Is there anybody on this forum that has first hand experience with these bar risers?
Just trying to get some feedback that will be helpful in making a decision.
Maybe I'm missing something here or maybe I don't know what I'm talking about!
Doesn't the clutch fluid need to be flushed/bled on the R18?
I haven't been able to read anything about it anywhere.
Can someone enlighten me?
I never had more than three bikes at the same time. About a month ago, after being down to only two bikes, I sold my Yamaha FJR1300 being convinced at the time that the R18FE would be totally okay as the only bike.
A few weeks ago I started getting the feeling that I had made a mistake in...
I can fit a hex socket or a torx socket and both seem to fit even though the hex socket feels like the right fit and the torx has a little bit of play. Which one do you use?
The guy on YouTube that has a few videos for oil, tranny and final drive fluid change uses a torx socket.
I never got 40mpg or above, so I have a question for the ones that do.
Do you guys stay in the power band most of the time and never short shift, or do you actually ride this bike as if it had a 300cc engine and ride it with the mind of a 85 year old rider?
What's the secret of your spectacular mpg?
My dealership told me there are no crush washers for the tranny drain and fill plugs but the video on Youtube shows the crush washers.
Do you guys have the part number(s) for the crush washers and maybe the torque value(s) for those two bolts?
Nothing under the right side cover.
Found it under the left side cover but i don't know how to expose the actual connector.
I don't want to break any tabs.
Can someone enlighten me on the subject?
