Finally, deep sixed those awful Michelin Commander 3s...and installed some Metzler Cruisetecs....HUGE upgrade! Just breaking them in and they're already far, far better then them slippery ass C3s... Just look at how beefy they look!
Okay, like I have about 7500 miles on my 21' R18C. Absolutely love the bike, breaking in very nicely, and building more power with every ride... Thought I would never like it more then my 2 generation, 6 cylinder Honda Valkyrie 1800, but I am. The Honda is faster and smoother...more torque...
I like it!
Bike has near 7K now and is running fantastically. As mentioned, I had it Brentuned, and performed the DNA Stage 2 air cleaner upgrade. The bike with 93 octane fuel, and with traction control turned off is an ANIMAL now. I swear I can feel the front wheel coming up while going...
Nice long ride today in the Summer heat. Took off the large windscreen and installed a small deflector ...for the Summer.. Nice! Light, less drag...This bike Brentuned with the DNA stage 2...93 octane, ethanol free fuel, fresh valve adjustment, small shield just hauls ass!
6300 mi, fresh valve adjustment, Btune, DNA2, 93oct, treated for ethanol fuel...the bike blasts with authority...Took three consecutive runs to adjust to the new valve specs. The bike is brilliant. Instant throttle response, loud punctual STOCK exhaust. Eat HDs for breakfast...lol
Hi, it got hot around these parts lately and the R18C's windshield sucks/channels hot air off the pavement and onto my body. It sucked last weekend. I know I can easily take it off, but I still want protection from rocks and bugs. Deflectors are great for this. Has anyone put on on their R18C?
Brought my R18C to the dealer from which I purchased it from to have the 6K valve check done. The rest of the 6K service I did myself.
They only charged me about a hour of labor to perform the job. The valves were out of spec, in which I imagined they would be, being that the job had never...
After a very long Winter's nap, I uncovered and fired up the R18C. It hasn't run since late Oct, early Nov of last year.
It spent it's down time on a battery tender, and when I hit the starter button, it fired in less then a second...and immediately settled into a nice, prominent idle... No...
It's called 'rideshare'! These three were so hellbent on buying a brand new Road Glide instead of 3 bikes they could afford, they decided to purchase it together in thirds...lmao...
If you do not use their branded oil, and there's an engine issue under warranty, they will not honor it. I was told this by a dealer in Milwaukee, Wi. What sez U?
Just yesterday I recieved a new LRS tinted windscreen to try out. Features a unique shape in an attempt to minimize overt turbulence. I got the tinted version, and love the looks! Excellent quality too. Going for a long ride, and will report back with observations.
Almost 4k on the odometer now, and have been running 91 octane, ethanol free fuel. Bike ran good, but would still ping ocassionally off idle, idle like a Harley, and sometimes ping slightly under hard acceleration. Today I by chance stopped at a Marathon station, one I never stopped at before...
Just finished installing Motea Mustache crash bars. I chose these bars because I believe they're the least obvious, and neatly follow the engine's contours nicely. Took about 50mins with an extra set of mechanically inclined hands. Some advice to new Classic buyers: Buy the bars and seat (stock...
Just thought I'd post a pic from last weekend's long ride. 3600mi now on the odometer, and were getting to know each other better. Bike is getting smoother and gradually developing more power. The DNA stage 2 and Brentune really has enhanced performance. She sounds deep and bad ass...and blasts...
