I got it, then had a serious look at what it would be like to lock and unlock the saddle, and it truns out that the saddle material is too soft to make it easy to use this type of locker. Then I sent it back to the vendor !
To me this lock kit is appropriate for heavy and pretty rigid leather.
Just mounted the Motea crashbars, not expensive, but provided with galvanized screws instead of stainless steel, and I had to grind burrs in order to install it.
I was looking for a service manual, but it seems that BMW does not produces it any more.
While searching, I found a bunch of usefull MECHANICAL DRAWINGS (but parts seems well overpriced)
Any other source of technical info ?

I am looking for a solution to lock somewhat the R18C saddle bags.
Conscious that there will be no strong locking soution on this kind of soft bag, I jus want to dscourage curious people to dig into the bags.

The rear side of the bike get dusty pretty quickly, including saddles.
Used a vaccum cleaner and a special suede leather brush.
I wonder weither the saddles would benefit from an anti stain and/or waterproof treatment ?

Not being a fan of beachbars, I am looking for either new handlebars that would bring a closer reach by at least 5 cm, or risers that would make it.

I am considering to install DNA air filter instead of stock one.
I did it on each of my BMW bikes in the past with either KN or DNA filters, experiencing low rpm torque, full power, and exhaust sound improvements.
Has anyone done that on R18 ? Is it worth it ?
During the last 40 years I enjoyed biking in the French Alps where I live, on various BMW bikes, and a couple of others. And now with a brand new R18C.
