    Interesting exhaust options?

I gave up on freedom performance, ordered last year ‘Jan’, ‘Feb’.. now it’s ‘what? Oh we don’t know’

    Customs R18

Shinya kimura and Winston yeh, two of the best builders on the planet, two dudes who build what they want.

    Hot starting issue

Ok so the (unproven as yet) fix was to replace the battery, they were saying they’ve had a quite a few R18s fry their batteries due to heat, they tell me the high temps warp the plates in the battery, once they cool down they work again. I dunno.. so far no drama but I’ll keep an eye on it.

    Headlights

I’m wanting to go to a smaller headlight 5 3/4 or thereabouts. Is anyone doing a plug n play headlight? Has anyone on here replaced their headlight and is it an easy job wiring wise (I’m used to ‘3 wires cut n solder’ easy). I’m just not familiar with the wiring on these. For what it’s worth...

    Hot starting issue

My bike went in for some warranty work recently, dealer is 1 1/2hrs away, a good decent ride through peak hour traffic. Got to the dealership to find they had relocated, ok, jumped back on, hit start.. fumble and die, lightbulb warning came up on dash. After 3-4 attempts got it going. Got to...

    Fork questions..

I know what you’re saying, but.. my last two harleys, a softail and a dyna were both lifted 1-2” front, lowered 1” rear, works great, doesn’t affect handling to any great degree, plus I like the way it looks, to me the r18 visually would look great with just a little more space under the front...

    Fork questions..

    Yes I’ve adjusted it.

    Fork questions..

Not really much to adjust there aside from preload, but not really the issue I’m chasing!

    Fork questions..

I’m wanting to lift the front on my R18, I’m dragging the pegs everywhere …and before someone says ‘it’s dangerous, you’ll ruin the handling’ 1. It’s a cruiser and the handling is what it is 2. I’ve done it to a bunch of bikes in the past and it makes very little difference to the handling 3...

A mod I have to have.

They will.. I took mine off and there were some surface scratches, it’s hard metal on chrome.

    Risers

Anyone who has changed risers happen to know if there’s any reason a set of Harley risers wouldn’t fit? Ok so the factory ones are joined for stability, but hey I’ve ridden harleys for god knows how many years with seperate risers with no dramas. Lot of nice risers available for 1” Harley...

    RSD valve trim

These came on my bike and the left side received some marks during the bike being transported. I’m happy to touch up the black with some enamel, the marks won’t be super noticeable seeing it’s the left side cylinder. Open to offers as really they’re worth whatever someone wants to pay. Please...

    Ripping apart the RSD seat

And it’s on.. next step is mufflers and to get rid of the who rear indicator number plate thing.

    Engines and the future

I think it’s worse than that, the planet likely does not have the mining capacity to produce enough nickel, cobalt etc. to switch every one to electric in the next 10 years like most governments are demanding. This is a sh-t show that is about to go down.

    Ripping apart the RSD seat

    Ripping apart the RSD seat

My bike came with a brown fastback seat, the brown is just not my thing so off it went to the upholsterer along with a reshape, but lower all round, passenger section beefed up a bit with a not to king and queen chopper seats.

    RSD wheel chrome flaking

Front wheel is fine so it’s not to do with environment, looks like it’s to do with s*** chrome prep, it’s in all of the small books and crannys and Australia, these are $8kAUD, about $5.5kUS

    RSD wheel chrome flaking

Anyone else got these rims and found the chrome is just peeling off? Requesting warranty but have been warned chrome and finishes are likely not covered. $8000 set of effing wheels and falling apart after a year? (Bike only has 1400kms on it)

    Interesting exhaust options?

Nice in theory, not an option where I live.. got sick of being pulled over twice every ride and doing the dog squad dance. (Ps I hate highway patrol cops with a burning passion, part of why I dont have a Harley anymore, being harassed about tattoos, club affiliations etc is a fckn pain) Being...
