The Europeans will be more concerned I guess.
I've found, at Speedway shop, this rotating gizmo which is more discreet than the tape or the round thing we use to see.
It fits perfectly on the right front tank bolt, and keeps the handlebar free to move with no harm to the close wires.
And it's fully visible when the handlebar is locked.

In the USA each state sets the requirements for vehicle registration, safety or emissions inspection and/or insurance. But we don't have to carry it ON THE OUTSIDE of the bike. If a cop wants to see the documentation, we have to show it, but most of us carry it someplace secure and out of sight.

I had the same on my Indian Scout, and now I keep it in my pocket :cool:
