MadStad R18 (pure) windshield system

I dropped my bike off @ Madstad Engineering on April 8th, for them to design a windshield system for my R18FE.
I picked it up yesterday, Friday May 13th. They also designed a fork deflector system to go along with the shield. Both are quick detach setups.
I test rode the bike, without the deflectors attached, and was able to get up to 70+ mph, with no issues.
I then, put on the fork deflectors, and rode again...what a difference, they make!
What makes this so great, imo, is the ability to take off, either piece, or both, in seconds. I experienced no head buffeting, like the BMW shield produces on the R18C.20220513_190037.jpg

I think you realised I was only teasing you about the windscreen however, overall I think most bikes look better without, unless of course you go for the full bagger or tourer look.

Well, this is disappointing as there will be many options to choose from for a standard style single windshield. What I had hoped from them was something akin to the double stacked windshield that was on my Road Glide that would channel the airflow over the rider. It worked very well once dialed in. Like others, Ill just stick with the add-on"mini screen" that seems to work just fine on my Classic but esthetically is meh....

My opinion is this...the fork deflectors make a world of difference. The windshield alone, as expected is a improvement, but when the deflectors are added, it is night and day! I was doing way over the posted speed on I75, and there was no turbulence! Also, in 2 minutes, both the screen and deflectors come off, leaving a naked R18.

In the ideal world I would never have the screen on my Classic but at times, a screen can be a Godsend
I took the screen off my Classic yesterday as the temps are really warm this week. Took it for a quick test ride and even tried highway at 80MPH. I loved having the airflow to cool off and it looks so good without a screen.

I love having a quick attach screen for the cooler weather, but also quick remove for warm weather.

The deflectors are always the key. Most people don't understand that the turbulence that causes head buffeting originates from below. I've seen far too many mount taller and taller shields in search of that living room lounge chair experience.
That being said, I'd rather ride shieldless than have something the size of half sheet of plywood out front of me.

Too bad...though maybe they do...would be nice if the lower deflectors in some manner moved air up a bit behind the main screen thus increasing the still air pocket for the rider and their helmet.

I Have a Classic with stock windshield already, would you mind share the link for the fork deflectors? Thanks.
