Wowzers! How'd you end up in that hole?
Got stung in the neck by something..... and pulled off the road in what looked like a ok spot, the front abs activated on what turned out be shaley gravel stuff and the bike just kept going and going! I ride a bit of unsealed roads but this shoulder seemed especially well lubricated.

You rarely think about the times where the ABS can hurt you, but that's a concrete example. Glad you didn't get hurt and that your bike escaped damage.
 
I was about to chop them up and do a project with them. They have been sitting wrapped up this whole time.
