Need Help Roctane seat option and light modification

I bought the upgraded ‘comfort seat’ for my previous bike and whilst more comfortable, they are really only a generic ‘hopefully fits everybody’s bum’ attempt. I then went to an upholsterer and told them my wants/concerns and $120Aud later and I had a great suit suited to my shape, weight and needs.
Consider that with your OEM seat first and save a whole lot of $$$$.

But it will NOT fit unless you use the included bushing and longer screw that comes with the seat from BMW. The bushing keeps the seat spaced up off the electric connection under the seat. The bushing goes underneath the chrome piece of the seat. Without the bushing it doesn't work.

In my case the bushing and screw were in a small plastic bag taped to the passenger seat in the box from BMW. Very easy to miss it if you're not looking for it...my dealership missed it 😂.

Hey mate, do you have the dimensions for the bushing? I can't find it as a part for sale so plan to make one, just trying to avoid the trial and error

Sorry I don't. Am traveling and not near the bike so can't go measure either.

From memory it's maybe half an inch depth with probably about a 1/8 diameter hole for the bolt. Ish. I'm guessing though.

As long as you get the bolt hole size right I bet you can fine tune the depth using washers on the underside. Just use a rubber washer on the bottom and add metal ones until you get the right depth.

Thanks mate, I'll make it a bit longer than I think it should be and then just grind it down to where it needs to be
