Low Fuel Warning Will Not Reset

This is a copy paste from AI Google search…… The BMW R18 does not have a traditional fuel gauge but relies on a low fuel indicator that activates when the fuel level is critically low, typically around 1.1 gallons remaining . This warning appears on the multi-function display as a yellow...

Low Fuel Warning Will Not Reset

Tbh, I would just continue to ride it, as the fuel level drops and sloshes about inside hopefully that will it ‘jiggle’ it free. I’d also go out of your way to give it some in Rock mode to get the vibrations running through the bike. Just make sure you set your trip to know how close you are to...

R18 TC with drilled out exhaust baffles video

Ah ok, well I don’t recognize what you describe as results. I’ve done exactly the same thing and am more than happy with it. I only ever ride in Rock mode btw but it’s got a slightly louder growl yet remains refined in tone (to my ears anyway). Personally I don’t want a loud shouty bike and over...

    R18 REmap

Too slow? How fast do you want or need to go Randy? My bike pulls really well, cleanly from no revs to the top end, it feels strong and very torquey. It’s not crossed my mind ever that it needs aftermarket tuning. Are you locked into the Stage 3 Harley thing? That’s not really BMW’s corporate...

    Valve Behavior

You said it yourself, clearance is a compromise. A silent or very quiet valve train on this sort of set up suggests it needs re-setting to me, or at least checking (by someone who knows what they are doing). Engine temps rocket when stuck in traffic for example, where the air flow is negligible...

Ticky is way better than silent. I would’nt worry at all, that’s what servicing is for, to keep things in spec.

R18 TC with drilled out exhaust baffles video

What do you mean by drilling out the baffles? Are you talking about just the ‘disc’ at the end of the perforated end pipe or actually drilling out the whole baffle? Big difference. I did mine earlier this year (mentioned in this thread somewhere already), just cut out the end disc with a hole...

    BMW gives up the R18

I meant it in a rhetorical sense, not literally.

    BMW gives up the R18

+1. Bad news travels fast but it’s important to have balance. My dealer has been excellent too, friendly, efficient, very reasonable with prices for servicing. The B is a very handsome bike with some terrific colours, don’t understand the negativity.

    BMW gives up the R18

Well aware of confirmation bias however…..last week my wife & I had a few days away in the beautiful County of Derbyshire. We called in at a tiny cafe in the middle of nowhere for a bite to eat, (The Old Smithy), unbeknown to us it was/is a favourite stop off for passing motorcyclists. We were...

    New (to me) 2021 R18

Welcome. Try to see the beauty in those unique fishtails, personally I love em. Sculpture in chrome. (I had a FE before my Roctane). Enjoy the forum 👍

BMW gives up the R18 !!!!

Which is no doubt why the R12 was born, to cater for people wanting exactly that. By all accounts I’ve read a very good bike.
