The "doo-hickey" is the antenna which communicates between the key fob and ignition-security system.
Maybe check that the antenna and cable is connected and not pinched or damaged; you'll have to trace it out by following the cable routing..
Also, try starting off with the easy steps; replace...

The Servo Buddy modules plug into the wiring harness, that plugs into the servo control unit..

I remember how top heavy the TC felt vs the Model B when I was looking at getting a new bike; I also tested the HD Street Glide and Road Glide, I choose the R18 B despite how much heavier it felt compared to the two HD models..
That said... I was really surprised on how nibble and weightless...
I remember thinking the same thing while I was installing the ROCTANE filler panels on my Model B; but drew towards a conclusion, that the strut assembly was most likely poorly painted and rightfully so, as it is tucked away and out of sight...

Maybe the "Light Pathway Option" is enabled..? I'm not actually sure of the option's name; my Model B has a setting, which will turn-ON the headlight in order to illuminate a walk-way after the bike has been turned off for some pre-set period of time.
The Model B feels extremely heavy when compared to the Base model, especially when maneuvering it at a slow speed or duck walking it into a parking spot; having the Bobber for a few months, I found it extremely nibble in terms of maneuverability...
