One of the best and cheapest upgrade items for the Model B and TC.. Cleans up that gap between the fender and side cases..
I noticed the new Model B and TC offer the filler panels as an option within the configuration menu.
Good Eye... Yellow & Red dots... It amazes me, that folks that mount tires for a living, or work as a mechanic don't know or implement these things - especially, after paying good hard earned money for a professional service...
You're already thinking about selling it... 🤑
I had the dealership do my 600 mile break-in; however, it was included as part of my purchase at the time of the deal (2022).
I have performed my own maintenance since; however, I let the dealership swap my tires and replenish clutch and brake...
I haven't use the following; but a quick search, shows that K&N makes oil filters for the R18.
I'm not sure how fast you can get one delivered?
2022 BMW R18 B 1802 Performance Parts | K&N https://share.google/IljAR8eSRYviisg6h
Basically, it looks like you can get four (4) filters for the BMW price of a single oil filter..
If you only need a single filter, it looks like Amazon can delivery it overnight...
I'm thinking the removal of the Engine Protection Bar and the Lower Leg Protection Fairings is probably a temporary thing... I can definitely feel the difference in increased turbulence without the lower leg fairings, especially over 68 mph.
I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I'm...

Maybe review the Wheel Set Installation document; go to the BMW Motorrad Site and from the Menu: SERVICE/MANUALS/INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS/HERITAGE - select the Model B and download the wheel set directions.
The axle shouldn't be all that expensive (~$70).
Amazing writing.. I felt like I was riding the bike, have you considered writing books... It was like reading an opening to a Nelson Demille novel ...
Back to Bike Stuff: you hit your 600 mile break-in; any plans on doing your own maintenance..?
It's one of the easiest platforms to work on...
You are absolutely correct; however, I only had to remove one bolt (No. 1) on the damper in order to move the damper out of the way of the center frame anchor point of the engine protection bar:
Went out for a 3 hr ride without the Lower Leg Wind Protection and Engine Protection Bar; some notes, there's an absolute difference in wind management above 68 mph, the weight of the bike feel much lighter and I'm still leaning towards the improved look minus the protection bar...
I might sell...
I just removed my engine guard, which also secures the lower leg wind fairings.. I didn't realize how much it hides the engine..
It will at least serve as a CHANGED look during the summer months...
