Dunno about in the states but here in UK unless its changed you could carry on your warranty with monthly payments , come winter time if you do not ride you suspend it which i thought was a good deal .

welcome , yes its a touring bike totally different to sports bikes , dunno how you come to think its slow mine certainly is not , in rock mode , but i agree with the guy who said whats the hurry ? enjoy the engineering and sound thats what motorcycling is about.

Hi yes i can back that up , according to my local BMW the mechanic stated that they very seldom touch the clutch fluid , and yes it is mineral oil not DOT-4 and it is blue in colour , i can vouch for this as i used DOT-4 ouch !!!!! an expensive mistake .

Ok Ulrich , I have went with BMW as they recommend this so that no other problems can crop up at a later date an expensive lesson learnt i,m afraid , many thanks to everyone for your comments .

Thanks Ulrich , yes it was DOT-4 fluid i used AAAAAAAAAAGH !!!!!!! BMW will repair but as the fluid is contaminated they recommend flush all out and replace clutch reservoir seal , waiting for a qoute sick as !!!!!!

Now the plot thickens , told it was the fob key and bike ready to collect , then low and behold i get a message please ring there is a problem with your bike went to put it on the trailor and no go , now the mechanics states there is blue fluid in the clutch fluid,and now waiting to see if they...

I have to agree with anglojaxon , i certainly would not take advice from U-Tubers these modern bikes are not designed for home mechanics in my opinion unless you are extremely mechanical experienced , even then if electrics play up it could end up being innumerable reasons that require...

As it was picked up it now indicates fob key not integrating with the bike wow ? we,ll see what the experts say .

Did not touch anything electrical , only changed the upper clutch and brake cables for the new riser kit , never checked anything electrical i get the start up lights but nothing from the start switch .
