    Riding/touring Spain.

Today stopped for lunch in Villanueva de Cauche, 800 m alt.: 20 houses, a restaurant and a church; the last real feudal ´town´ in Europe. Btw no creditcard nor bizum; only cash and with the tarta de whisky you get a bóttle of the liquid dressing.

    Riding/touring Spain.

Buenos compañeros. Very regularly I get mail enquiring about a holliday in Spain on a motorbike. Not just from the R18 forum. As it is all rather different from the UK I want to point out a few generic aspects. Spain is about square, say 1.2k kms north-south and 1k west-east with that being a...

What did you do to your R18 today?

Uffff that brings up memories of the eighties when that was a critical factor for motorcycles. It was thé reason I had a long lasting experience with various Guzzis and nó BMWs apart from a short go with the R25/26 that simply was to small capacity. Different times that. Just óne locally heated...

    My 10cts

Found vintage Jawa/Velorex combination manuals which provide data to calculate the set up basics for my R18. Lean and toe in are not an issue, the lead of the sidecar wheel is. 68.1-inch wheelbase, trail 5.9 inches is tricky. Another non-detail is thetyre of the sidecar wheel: The ground...

    The haters´ magnifying glass

You did read that I got your point or  I still miss what writing in ány language has to do with racism, but then this is likely my own limitation, because as I wrote in a different thread the English language is only my third. Again, please do not táke offence but you again made me...

Even though the metal girl is 350 kgs of heavy weight to wrestle with it is a lót simpler than dealing with the ever so much more challenging intangible issues the soft girl comes up with. If the hardware weight prooves to much I can hook up a third wheel. Now, try thát to the matrimonial...

My work in progress over my R18Bagger

Wow that was simple and fast; no that is a thing of the previous century and long since out of production. There are however modern, higher tech solutions in rvs!! Here a supplier located on the British islands: https://www.cableties-online.co.uk/blog/all-about-metal-cable-ties

My work in progress over my R18Bagger

I am sure someone does. The sovjet era Ural/Dnepr bikes came with übercool métal cable ties. I think the German suppliers may very well still have them. Thumbs up to you for reminding me. I will have a look and give a heads up if they do. They are so much nicer than the plastic zip things.

For those who missed it earlier in this thread: The European Union is NÓT about economy. It is about peace on the European continent. After the horrors of the fírst WW some humanist bright men with diplomatic clout got together about an important underlying bone of contention. That gave birth...
