After listening to it on YouTube, it has a deep tone. It sounds great!! Was that w the catalytic still intact and flaps disengaged and set to stay opened?
The Pro Race shorty that you have, is it just short pipe, or does it have internals to produce good tone? Have you compared it and is it anywhere close to the full Pro Race system in terms of good quality sound?
At 72 plus, I got one and had a blast with it. I surfed in Hawaii, slalom water ski, and later snow skied. Balance was good but no as responsive at 70plus. One saying w the OneWheel is it is not a matter of if you fall, you WILL fall!! I have fallen and thank God for protective gear. I have...
😂🤣 at mid 50’s, you are still 17 Scott!! When I turned 70 I watch this kid ride a OneWheel on the parking lot while I was enjoying dinner with my retired friends. He looked like he was surfing on pavement going about 17mph. I had a big smile on my face when my friends said no I didn’t one...
I’m glad that you and Luis chimed in on stretching your legs directly on the cylinder heads instead of purchasing a separate leg rest. I have other more pressing accessories to get for my R18😄 I switched from my summer boots to winter boots which protects my calves well! Gentlemen, thank you.
Luis, you are a tougher man than I am😄. I tried during a ride and pulled back quicker than a spooked cat. It didn’t blister but it was uncomfortably hot on my calf. Granted my jeans were probably medium weight.
Very interesting points Scott and very much appreciated. I am also 19yrs your senior and plagued w natural age fatigue. The pros on the BMW crash bar and foot rest are: Ergonomically better IMO than Wunderlich, it doesn’t cover the massive jugs as much, and engine vibration should be less...
You just proved my statement about how helpful people are in the R18 forum. Thank you for a very thorough response to my questions and that is beautiful bike you built!! The picture that you provided showed the correct platform angle (forward downward angle) to support the calves and minimize...
I am always amazed at how we benefit from the information provided in the R18 forum. Good people from around the world are always ready to help w our personal projects. I need help in preventing hamstring cramps when riding after a strenuous sports activity. Has anyone installed the Wunderlic...
Great paint job on that blue!! My 33 streetrod is starburst orange but I saw someone w a BMW matt orange that looks spectacular. When get bored w my current color, I’ll go w the matt orange.
The carbon fiber looks great with the color of your bike!! I bought a whole roll with the thought of maybe covering the fenders, gas tank, and side covers. Check out my wrapped intake manifolds. It was a challenge to do w the compound curves. Maybe a much later project.
Unit Garage has both options. The lower bracket was designed for the R18 w straight pipes and the higher bracket was designed with fishtail pipes. My concern w the higher bracket is that the top of the bag would sit higher than the passenger pylon seat. Unit Garage assured me that it is the...
After extensive research and your response, I’ve decided that Unit Garage bag, part no. U002+3401, fits my chopper style R18 the best. I didn’t realized that the Italian bag was so expensive!! I need to determine if sending a bank certified check or a bank electronic transfer is best for...
Thanks for the testimonial vote of confidence!! And yes I was also curious about the smaller option. The information sharing on the R18 forum is truly amazing!!
Thank you sir! The design looks like it will fit my needs perfectly. I really like the natural soft look. Do you know if there is local dealer in the United States? Thanks, Tony
I was admiring your saddle bags. I think they will adapt well to my chopper style R18!! Where did you get them? I need to see if I can raise them about 4 inches and move forward about 6 inches. They need to work around the signal lights on the fenders and the left side license plate...
As I return to my R18 from shopping, this was the first thing I saw. The bike has a sexy rear end!! I’m glad that I moved the license plate to the side and signal lights to the fender which enhances the thick rear tire. The 180mm rear tire really looks good and I should leave well alone. 🤔
