    Goodbye R18

Well-reasoned and responsible. I totally get the unwanted attention thing. Not the part about the distasteful direction, no that’s hardly ever an issue 🤣. I mean the part about talking motorcycles when you really just want to get on with your errands. Oh yeah? You had an R60? That’s great. All...

    WTB OEM seat

I'd bet 50% of the members here have a slightly very limited hardly used like new OEM saddle. If you come to my house with a 6 pack of Rogue Honey Kolsh, you can have mine.

    WTB Rider foot pegs

I'll buy the boards retail and then that very day someone will start a thread titled "take my floorboards, I'll pay shipping" and they'll be gone in like 3 seconds. Oh well.

    Some more R18C thoughts:

A bit of a thought exercise Three gallon tank. Fill up with 93 with the assumption that the prior customer used 87. So 2.5 @93 and 0.5 @87. Effective octane is 92. This is, by the way, the highest octane you can absolutely count on. But I digress. Run it to almost empty, say half a gallon. now...

    WTB Rider foot pegs

Whoa, wanna work out a trade? It's more than just the boards vs pegs. I feel like there are additional bits. Happy to trade and add a little money to the deal too.

High pitched hum/whistle noise from engine?

Hi Yongwjung Do a search for "fuel pump whine" all sorts of info👍

    Bad news again ! !

I asked a guy I know who used to work for Arlen Ness. The question was "Are you aware of any regulations or laws that stipulate how long a motorcycle manufacturer needs to have spare parts for a given bike they sell/sold?" He called just now and told me that he looked in the Code of Federal...

    Bad news again ! !

Does he also own a paint shop? 😂 Kidding aside. I don’t think that that’s either legal or good business and would be very surprised if it’s true. As an another aside, a few summers back, I had to replace the front fairing on my Ducati after colliding with a turkey. I sourced one from Ducati...

    Rhodri from Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 UK

Welcome Rhodri! Rumor around the forum is that the exhaust note seems to deepen after several thousand miles. The fishtails themselves will remain contentious. /I like em

Great story, BobW. Do you ever think about getting a 1968 Trail 90 and fixing it up?

SOLD - Wunderlich Passenger Backrest - Black

Amazing deal on a super well-made product. The vinyl matches the OEM. Even the stitching matches. You're not getting that in other similar products. If you're on the fence, grab this one because I'm asking $400 for mine. /take care Adan.

What did you do to your R18 today?

    Couldn't agree more.

    R18C as a first bike

Agreed. Classes are terrific. I had been riding for 4 or 5 years then took a class with my girlfriend (eventually Mrs. Todkavonic) because she was looking to buy a bike. It was super helpful and worth the time and expense.

    Hello as a new Bee....

You can still do whatever you please to/with the bike. There are YouTube videos aplenty that go into detail with torque specifications, etc. Granted, it’s not all there for you in a convenient manual, but it’s discoverable should you look. And yes, this is clearly intentional and is being done...

    First Motorcycle Stories

Those looking at the R18 as a first motorcycle got me thinking about my first bike and the events surrounding that purchase. It’s not pretty. The older, wiser version of me thinks I was a complete jackass. Ok It was 1998. The bike was a 1996 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 XLC. Black. I found...
