My R18 FE runs on E5 & E10 according to the decal on the tank!

The R18 could most certainly do with a front fender extender, I went out on mine yesterday over a recently resurfaced road with loose chippings and the chippings have been thrown up from the front wheel and very slightly marked the front engine cover. No amount of autosol will remove the marks.

Welcome Chris, after having Gs’s you will certainly find the R18 “different”! One bit of useful info: When you shut the R18 down, don’t put it on its side stand then kill the engine…leave it upright for a couple of mins, shut it down and leave it upright for a further 2mins before putting it on...

Lordlivo, this is such a shame but I totally agree with your actions. Bmw have lost the plot and in my consideration are “broken”. They should be falling over backwards to keep you happy and on the R18, it just appears to me they need a preferable rocket underneath them….we shell out top bucks...

I have a multi bike policy with Bennetts, very competitive and always answer the phone promptly and their call base is in the UK. I have been lucky and haven’t had to make a claim from them. But I can recommend their policy’s. If you want good it wont be cheap, if you want cheap it wont be good….

I’m disappointed with Bmw customer service and the fact they refuse to return phone calls and emails. Same old same old….once they have your cash they aren’t interested in any issues you may have with the bike. Everything is like pushing water up hill! They need to take a leaf out of Triumphs...
