Do not believe the passenger seat on the B is heated from stock. I think only the driver seat is heated.

Reason behind the statement is anytime you take your bike or car to BMW it is subject to an iDrive update. If a new update is applied all ECUs are set to factory defaults. Doing so will wipe out any custom settings which have been made to any of the ECUs.

It is not that they delete the tune. It is the same with the cars if you update your configs with non default settings and they update your iLevel. You will loose all the settings. Basically they load all the ECUs with default settings.

I did use my reverse daily to get mine in my garage. Not that it was necessary, but as a connivence since I had it. I could pull the bike straight in (like I have to do now) and turn it around if the cars are out. But I like the option of being able to just back in the garage and I can not do...

Wow I have only been able to get roughly 5k miles out of each set of tires with my K1600GTL due to the weight and assumed it would be the same or less for the R18 since it is heavier. But I only use Michelin, Pirelli or Goodyear for both bikes and cars.

If true some dealers are not holding to it. I got a few Roctane parts that do not start with 77. The black front blinkers and the black hinge parts for the side cases.

Not sure it will be a good look with the rider seat alone. The mounting bolts go in the 2 holes between the rivets holding the strap. The passenger seat hooks to the center washer and hides the mount point.

Yes I still have the seat and it is for R18 and R18 Classic, but I am unsure of the impact on height. I did not notice any difference in height with the seats, but it could be since I love that both feet can easily touch the ground with my R18 while I am on my tippy toes on my K1600. To be...

OK I thought you had the one pictured. They are expensive through BMW, before I powder coated mine I got a spare one from a salvage yard for much cheaper than BMW wanted, so I ended up selling the original one I got on my bike to someone on this forum. So possibly check if any salvage yards or...

Should be easy to find someone near you with a B or T/C to swap out with. I powder coated my chrome one just to have mine black. I am sure lots would prefer it black instead of chrome.

Same reason I took my factory seat in to get upholstered I did not like the looks of the RDL or Corbin on the R18 and not impressed with the comfort of the Sargent
