May I presume the frustration is checking the level with the bike vertical?

I read somewhere that the stock mirrors can induce some of the turbulence in the cockpit area. I had my doubts, but after removing them and adding bar-end mirrors --there might be something to it.

The brown is not easy to photograph as it does indeed look different based on lighting. This photo is about as true-to-color as I have, though what you’re viewing it on can have an effect too. It is a medium brown and not a tan.

I love my Day Rider, but I may actually change it out for a Cross Country. Thinking stage right now. :unsure:

Swapped out my FP fishtail tips for a pair of basic round caps allowing me to re-mount my Classic panniers. I painted the “rivets” black on them as I never cared for the bedazzled look. I also added back the OEM saddle as it matches the panniers. I think I’ll probably sell off my brown Mustang...

I taped mine to the inside of the cover. I set it a bit low so there was no interference.

Vikki, thanks for your thoughtful post. I have a 62 mile roundtrip commute and as much as I love the R18 --well, you said it! Another matter for me is weather. Despite a RAIN mode on the R18, the GS will always get the nod if there is a chance. Enjoy your RT; it is an amazing machine...

Just a quick FYI on 83305A24474: If you have changed out the exhaust system for a third party (eg Freedom Performance) that does not incorporate the hanger bosses ... it will not work.
