I traded in a 2023 Ducati Monster on the R18 and it's similar to the Tuono in that it doesn't like just pootling along. It hated being under 4k rpm and the nature of it is such that to enjoy it, you need to be throttling from time to time (and always as a corner approaches). You know what...

I leave my stock battery on an Optimate one that plugs into to DIN plug on the left side all winter long. They're smart enough to not over-charge. I've done that on all my bikes for over 10 years now, no issues ever but this is the 1st winter on my R18.

Yes, do NOT squeeze the front brake hard while turning ... in fact, would suggest to first straighten out bike and THEN use front brake if you have to use it, otherwise use only rear while wheel is turned.

Key is to keep the revs up a bit and ride the clutch with right foot lightly on rear brake. Suggest a guy on YouTube channel called Be The Boss of Your Motorcycle. Either way, takes practice.

Yes, I'll agree it does move you up which for me at 5'7" works great.

Honestly, I suspect they're identical. I actually prefer it forcing me forward & upright and I don't even put the screw into the hole. I bump it up against the flat part of the backrests silver flat part and even put a car valve stem cap on the screw for that extra 1/4".

I'm currently using the backrest from my Triumph Thunderbird Mustang seat that works perfectly (I just swap back-and-forth). Would be nice to have 1 for each but maybe at half that price ... good luck though.

What do you mean by "shorter"? Lower to the ground (I think this) or closer to the tank? I'll agree with the latter but not the former (about the same to me).

Not my look to be honest but I never liked the look of the HD Lower Rider ST and that batwing shown is similar. I think I've seen the Classic windscreen on a Roctane and it looked good to me.

Nice job. I've done similar on my Classic with Memphis Shades lowers which helped immensely with the wind from the bottom and crash bars as well.

I've wondered if those would fit on the B. I have them on my Classic and they're great.

You know that thought occurred to me last week but to California instead of Florida for the nicer roads and views ... bike rentals aren't cheap over at eagleriders. Add the cost of the flight & accommodations and it was more than I'd like to spend.
