I tried to like the K16 platform. I still do, but alas, I just never got along with it. Instead, I ended up with a latest gen Goldwing DCT and it is the best BMW RT that I have ever owned. A perfect counterpart to my R18C.

Smart colleague! I just bought one and it is the best bike that I have ever owned.

That is exactly why I bought it. As I slowly age out of two wheels, my lower arms have taken a beating over the years. I have moved off all of my other bikes that had even a hint of vibration. The R18 will eventually depart too. I just can’t ride it for very long without pain.

I thought about a B, but in the end I bought a Goldwing and kept the Classic … for now.

Yes, I installed the Scout bars that you mentioned, specifically the Klock version of the tracker. They fit just fine. There are (should be) four shorter fasteners snapped into the mounting frame on the inside of the bags. Use them I/L/O the fasteners you just removed —and snap the longer ones in their place for safekeeping.

Try as I might (and the R18 is on the chopping block right now), I never seem able to get down to just one bike.

Not in that pic, but that is just a thumb screw adjustment. It will also move forward a bit as it inserts further into the receiver.

As mentioned in the other thread, the FP in your pic has a heat shield. I have the exact same exhaust.
