It took ebay global shipping over a month to get the gauge to me, but I now have it and I installed it today. The easiest install I have done. It took all of 3 minutes.
The dealer installed them on my bagger, and I attempted the install on the Bobber and only got as far as the cylinder heads. I will have a go at the breast plate in a few weeks.
I want/wanted a K1600B, but you cannot get a test ride on one here in Australia. BMW will only bring them in on order. I told them that I would buy one if I can't test ride it first..... BMW Australia are a strange group... So I bought a R18B and a R18 Highline/Bobber as well as my other bikes...
I had one, traded it in for my R18B.
It is a great scooter, fun to ride, gets attention everywhere.......but the range is what lets it down. That was the only reason I got rid of it. I won't venture into the electric ike market again unless there is something with a real world range of 250+ km.
I have seen them with the factory black and white stripe. I like the black stripe better, particularly with all the black components on the bike. Each to their own I guess.
Already have the Bagger, but I always liked the Bobber. The dealers are doing good deals at the moment, so I couldn't say no. The Akrapovics will come off, and be replaced with some shorter mufflers I have. I want to try putting black pinstripes on the tank.
The 18" does a great job of cutting out the buffeting, but it creates other problems. I have the tinted 18", and the top of the screen is smack bang in the middle of my vision. I can sit up straight to see over it, but it is not my natural seating position then. Also, the screen is that large...
Don't order the 20"....It is effing huge. You can roll a smoke and read the newspaper behind the 20"...... I am 6'1" also. I bought the 20", then I bought the 18".......now I want a 16"
They are not nuts....They are silentblocks.....Look at the parts list. Secondly....the silentblocks have nothing to do with the issue. Why you referenced nuts (silentblocks) when I was talking about the holes, has me baffled. You still are clueless.....calling rubber blocks, nuts. I am guessing...
I can help you understand, but I cannot understand it for you.......There is not 1 nut in the parts drawing......The 6mm bolts I refer to, are the existing bolts on the bike that go in the holes where No.5 on the diagram is pointing.
You really have no understanding of what I am talking about....
