I had the bike running funny as well after a good rain session. At low rev it would respond to throttle with occasional delay and not regular. Nothing else so far . Appart from the fluel pump and left piston of course ;)

I had a 1100 GS and then 1100 RT sometime back . Never had this kind of issue .

I have the case . No, bike on the side stand all the time . 1 to 2 days between usage. Start engine while sitting on it . Happenned at 2500km , 5 to 6 times in the garage at start up since then. Last time oil fumes in all the house . I wonder if it s got something to do with the maintenance...

i just requested some feeback from them . I imagine nobody has any , correct?

On mine it started at around 2000km as well. Before that it was all good . Still good now, but above 60km/hr only, bellow it s.... . hopefully they will look into it and find a solution quick .

If that bike had make that noise while drive testing it before the buy , for sure , nobody would have gone for it !

Yes off course ! May be your ears are damaged in the high frequencies . This happens often with age . ;)

I went to the dealer last Saturday . They recorded a video and opened a warranty case . Every body with this issue should alert BMW so BMW start doing something about it .

Sad . I need to go to have mine checked but is it worth it yet? Noise is quite present but acceptable for the time being .

I don t want to set them to the biggest clearance. It was just a question to try to understand the impact on the engine behaviour , if any , when valves are set at 0.21mm in one case and 0.29mm on the other one.

Hello David, Valves setting intake and exhaust are the same as you mention ? 0.2 to 0.3mm . You used 0.21-0.22 mm . any idea what it would give at 0.28-0.29mm? I can ear my valves quite strongly especially if i accelerate significantly from 1800 RPM, at idle as well there are quite noisy . i...
