I was charged for 1.5 hours at a cost of $225. I picked the TC because of my experience with my 20 years of ownership experience with my R1100S. I plan to buy the diagnostic tool (GS911) and whatever else I need to maintain my TC for the next 20 years.
Does anyone know if the dealer service...
@Strawdiggity73 Did you buy your bike from D2 Powersports?? I did not and had my service done yesterday. They charged me $378 (broken down as $144 (parts) and $225 (labor)). I am curious how you were charged significantly less.
I would recommend searching around. I am not sure if you are willing to travel to pick up a bike, but make sure you are getting the options you want. The TC is a great bike. I bought one about three weeks ago and love it. I did travel from Evans, Georgia to Charlotte to pick up mine. The...
Nice!! It appears bigger than I expected. If I had a passenger, could she get on past the back rest. I will definitely look into one. Thanks for sharing.
I have a set of Wilbers' on my 2003 R1100S and they were a significant upgrade from the OEM Sport Shocks that came with the bike. I recall talking to a gentleman who made them and providing him with my preferred riding style, body weight and a few other bits of info. I would by Wilbers again...
I just purchased my TC less than 3 weeks ago. During my first ride, I heard and felt many different things. I now have about 400 miles and it continues to change. I think as the bike goes through the break-in period, it continues to get better. I have been riding a much older bike (2003...
I am so glad you decided not to buy the TC. I have thoroughly enjoyed your posts and VLOGs about your quest to change your bike. In the end, I bought the TC after listening to your videos. Just curious, now that you have transformed your B/TC, how do you feel about touring on it now?
@fleabag First off, thanks for the quick order fulfillment! I really appreciate it. I just put them on it look looks snazzy!!
Do you think anyone else would buy a back rest? If so, do you think they would entertain a special group buy?
I purchased my first BMW Motorcycle in 2003. I have had it since and its been very reliable. I rode the bike in South Korea, Europe, and all across the states. Love that bike and have no plans to get rid of it.
My M2 is a sweet ride, but it may not be a keeper as I am getting too old for...
I was concerned with the same thing before buying my TC. I did find a closer dealer that had the Bagger and TC available for test rides. The sad part, when I test rode both bikes, I never rode on the highway at 75-80 mph to test the vibes. I bought my TC from the Charlotte BMW dealer on...
