After seeing this post I checked my install and sure enough there was more wiggle than there should have been in my RSD front brake pedal--I didn't realize the spacer was missing. I finally got around to pulling my old brake lever out to try to remove that spacer, wasn't going to...
I tried to sell a few that just didn't fit right but those as well as any old ones typically just go in the trash. Not much of a market for used helmets...
I use both a Schuberth C4 Pro and a C5; I love the comfort and functionality of the modular — don't think I could go back to anything else. One thing to say about the Schuberths is that the Sena bluetooth system is trash, battery life is very short, and the sound quality is terrible. Once I...
It was a little bit firmer than I would have liked at first but was instantly MUCH more comfortable than stock. My biggest issue with the stock seat was how the crest seemed to push right against my tailbone, with the Corbin there is a "cup" shape that my tailbone sits in and the seat is wider...
Did you do it all in one step? Just curious which made the largest difference. I may try the rubber spacers and the sound deadening but want to get tires on my other bike before the R18 if possible...not a fan of all the road noise from the front though.
Good info, I ordered these and the matching passenger pegs to dress things up a bit. Not going for the levers and mirrors as that would probably start me off on a "blacked" kick for the cockpit.
I had an issue after I washed it, wouldn't stay started, everything powered up but it shut off after just a few seconds. After I let it dry out for a day, everything was back to normal. Makes me nervous to even ride in the rain at all, no idea what got wet that shouldn't have. Mine is a '23 TC
I just ordered a roll up tool bag and will be filling it with the obvious basics but wanted to check in with some of y'all. Any less obvious tools I should be sure to carry for road trips? I'll obviously add the appropriate Torx sizes, adjustable wrench, pliers, the ever helpful electrical...
Added tank pads, much more comfortable. I ordered from Wunderlich, not the best quality compared to the BMW version I put on my R Nine T but they work fine. The adhesive isn't 3M and there was no template for placement. Part info: https://www.wunderlichamerica.com/BMW_R18_Tank_Pad_Set_Motorcycle
Added a high quality knock-off 100 yrs plaque--it's a '23 so figured it was ok--sure it's not for everyone. Ordered on Aliexpress as you cannot seem to order the actual BMW part...
I also painted the oil cooler cover, was starting to look a little beat up--looks brand new now. I ordered the paint on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0088LVK4S?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1
I painted my front calipers, didn't like the drab stock look. Just cleaned real good with rubbing alcohol, taped around the caliper and brushed on the new gloss black paint. I ordered the paint on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XKTTX4M?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2&th=1
I have an R Nine T and now an R18 TC, but I choose to ride the R18 most of the time, it's just so comfortable and "chill". The R Nine T is fun to take out when I want something faster or more nimble but on the R18, I just choose my lane and chill out on the road--much different experience. If...
