I have an Optimate 4 that I plug into the 12v socket to charge the battery. I have to gently twist the plug once it is in the socket whilst watching the display on the charger to see when it’s connected.

Welcome. Good to have another UK member & rider on here. What R18 have you bought? I have a 71 reg Classic that I’ve owned for 4 years now, I’ve ridden 11000m on her & still love to go out riding. I also have an RT1250 as my everyday rider.

I’d like to see how it mounts. That’s a big piece of abs to hang on the front & the pressures on it from wind etc you’d want to be fully confident in the mounting system. Looks good though.

I’m on my second set of Commanders on my Classic& I like them. They wear well & are good in the wet. Interestingly a riding buddy who has a Harley softail Heritage has just had a pair fitted to his bike.

I wonder how they ran it up on the dyno with the strap going through the rear wheel? 🤔😂

I rode in the West Sussex event last year. Weather was great & the turn out was impressive. As Petrus says, the cause is very worthy. I’m watching the weather forecasts before I commit to this year’s ride.

If the UK identifier & Union flag is a printed part of the number plate it’s ok. You maybe correct inasmuch as putting a sticker on the number plate not being allowed.
