Doesn't look like I'll need to keep participating on this site. If I buy another bike, it'll probably be a GS or I may go back to a K1600. Have fun y'all!
Just took a deposit today on it. Went to pay off the bike online, but BMW Financial only allows you to pay up to 7500 in any given calendar month online. Why? Because God forbid they make it easy for you to pay them off!! Idiots.... Instead, I had to download a 4 page payoff packet, fill it...
I changed out the dinky stock subwoofers, with their 4 ounce magnets and propensity to bottom out at any higher volume, with Skar Audio subs with massive magnets. Sounds a lot better. Not perfect, but better.
I'm on the opposite coast, but I'm curious if anyone is going to either the MOA or Riders Association rallies this year? One is in Virginia and the other in West Virginia. I'd like to go to the one in West Virginia myself.
I really like the stock windscreen on the TC. I'm 5 foot 10, and the top of the screen falls right about at my mid-nose level. It's the perfect amount of wind protection without having to look THROUGH it. The first bike I've ever owned where I didn't want to change the stock screen. That's...
It's a Saddlemen bag. It's where I keep all my "must have handy" essentials like maps, chapstick, sunglasses, towels, first aid kit, etc. Got it off of Revzilla, I believe
It is with great reluctance that I am going to put my '22 TC in Manhattan green up for sale. A recent change in life circumstances has meant that my time available to ride is going to be cut down to 3-4 days a month, and even then, that could be shorter with variables such as weather, work...
It was just turn by turn directions. I expected it to LOOK like a GPS map screen, with the route highlighted, etc. I don't know if that's all it can do, or if I just didn't understand how to make it better... But I'm happier with the Zumo.
I got tired of the garbage navigation system on board, so I bought a Garmin Zumo and a handlebar mount, plugged it into the DIN outlet. There's not much room on the bar, so you have to fiddle with it to get it to where you can see the GPS and it NOT block the gauges.
OK this is ridiculous. Was stuck in stop and go traffic for about a mile last night, on a relatively cool 73 degree night. One of those "move 20 feet, stand still for a minute, move 20 feet" lines... Got two engine overheat warnings. Had to shut off the bike a few times during the longer...
If money isn't a huge obstacle, take advantage of the unreal sales promotions and buy your R18, but then also fork out a couple thousand cash for a Honda Shadow. Ride the shadow and have the R18 ready to go after you get a year of riding under your belt.
