Damaged R18, what would you do?

Sell as is as long as the overall number makes sense to you. Btw, what is the mileage on this one?

What did you do to your R18 today?

I’m assuming you removed the headers prior to installing the wraps, right? If so, did you reuse the gaskets when reinstalling? Also, did you use the same silver-colored, high temp lubricant/sealant that goes when changing mufflers? What torque would be adequate for the headers? Btw and as I...

Mounting kit for homage seat - rear fender plate

Is anyone interested in selling me the small plate that comes in the homage seat mounting kit? It is the one that goes in the rear fender (see highlighted item in yellow). I figured maybe someone who installed the homage seat and switched to a bobber fender or else who will not use it. Long...

    Looks pretty simple and straightforward

Question on the Wilbers rear shock. Is it better than the stock for the R18b? I ask this because for what I read the Ws are definitely an improvement over the stock for the R18 - and I definitely don’t love taking a long curve even at 65mph with my R18, but I do feel that the R18b is extremely...

    OEM lockable fuel cap

Does anyone know the part number of the OEM lockable fuel cap? When I search online I only see the Roland Sands ones -either black or machined, but not the ones that come originally with the bike.

    Engine temperature

Maybe you were given the wrong owner’s manual? I own a 2021 R18 FE and page 38 of the owner’s manual does indeed indicate that engine temperature should be one of the display’s options (thank you, as I didn’t know this and I will try it over the weekend). I also have a 2022 R18 that came with an...

What cell phone fits in the phone holder?

I use an iPhone 13 mini (work phone) and it fits even with a case. Also, I added the cable and all good with that with the caveat that there is only one specific sequence to make it fit, plug it in and be on your way without pulling any of the parts more than they were meant to be (if that makes...

My new Vance & Hines slip-on exhaust are killer

Hi Dave, Re removing the baffles, do you know if there was any drilling involved? Or was just a matter of removing the two screws from the bottom rear of each pipe?

How many miles on your R18?

    905mi on my R18b (since May22) 721mi R18 (since Aug22) 15mi R18 FE (I still have to go pick it up)

Does the OEM Engine Bar Kit include hardware?

Got it, thanks! I ask because I did try to use the OEM bolts but I wouldn’t know how to start tightening the upper one as the bolt is round and there is not a tiny gap between front of bolt and end of damper.

Does the OEM Engine Bar Kit include hardware?

Adam, In the event you did end up installing the OEM hardware, were you still able to leave the steering damper alone? Or did you have to remove it?

Help, I may have lost my mind ...

I do own an R18b and an R18 (acquired in that order) and I can tell you that the riding style of each one is completely different. IMHO, the R18 is super easy to ride and handle in tight spots. The R18b is a tough one. In fact, I would strongly suggest -if possible, that you do test drive the TC...
