Using a Samsung Galaxy without issue. However, be careful what you wish for. The delays in the turn by turn are annoying. It'll turn off the radio, pause for a long second, tell you there's a turn in. 3 miles, then leave the radio off until you get close to the turn, play the radio for .4...
I expect I'll end up with chrome heads once I see the right ones. Im not crazy about my OEM silver ones. However, seems like most everything ive come across is more geared to the black bikes. The Black FE is a very good looking classic styled bike. Like I said earlier, there is no wrong choice.
Agree that's a lot of bass. Bass boost causes too much hollow thump om mine. I'm a classic rock/ alternative rock guy. I've gotine set at balanced profile, treble +2, bass +3, fader +2, vol cntrl 2.
Mine sounded like a cheap 80s boom box when I first took delivery. Treble was like a dog whistle, no mids, and the woofers sounded like they were mounted in Tupperware. Took a bit of tinkering but now it's incredible.
It's even better away from the bike than on it. I keep it turned up so...
Congratulations. I agree on the Shifter. Took about a ride to get used to it. Now I like it better. Keeps the boards clear without it getting in the way.
The phone holder is a bit gimmicky. Working on a solution to that now. Maybe I can have some good news there soon.
Hard to say how it would wear, but the matte looks quite well done. Online it looks a bit green/tan, but in-person it's closer to a gunmetal, not quite but in that range. Both I and the guy that was there buying a black agreed that it looks like you could quickly wipe it and go.
However, I get...
I was set on getting a Road Glide and then saw the TC online and had to go visit one. Within a mile of test drive I was sold. I agree it's more nimble and also carries the weight better. I can set the ACC, go hands free and the bike holds a solid line. However, a shift in weight comfortably...
I think it's worth every penny. I'm a pretty conservative person when it comes to stuff like this and almost always go for black. However, Galactic Dust is just the right mix in my opinion. It's subtle with just a touch flashy, but not over the top. It can be anywhere from teal to blue to...
Paul, ya made me literally lol.
At a steak dinner shy of a half ton, not sure the cap will make much of a difference. That said if you really wanted a plastic one and couldnt find it, I could generate one. I run a company that does polyurethane products.
Mine has a 719 seat as well. Test drove a TC with stock seat and at 6-2 the windshield perfectly bisected my eyes. The 719 seat puts the windscreen just below my line of sight but still an few inches below the airflow. As the day gets later and I start to slump that changes but mom would...
Didn't trade one, but have ridden a few and was set on buying a Road Glide until I saw the R18TC, so I'll count myself as a near HD convert too. IMHO, the R18 is more nimble and the bars are in a better place. I also don't have issues with getting my legs over the boxers and don't see that...
Interesting. About 5 miles into my first ride I drove back to the dealer to ask about all the knocking in the clutch. Turns out that is just the dry clutch experience. However, when I pulled into the garage the bike just quit from idle with no warning. Then the mech couldn't start it just like...
When I left Charlotte on Saturday with this beauty, they had one used Galaxy Dust and one without ACC. Sorry, I got the good one. ;-) They were also unpacking a black.
They now have surplus of HD bikes given the 3 that got traded for R18s while I was working my deal.
