I Have both of these chargers and I do prefer the BM simply due to the fact that I had to
read the instructions to decipher the colour coded lights on the Optimate....
But both work Great.....
I just received my BM Charger and it did the same.....just started charging and no options provided.....buy I'm sure all is good as it is a "Smart Charger"

R18 Classic FE also has the same options included here in Australia....Plus screen/extra lights and different front wheel and soft bags by 2........... BUT I'm sure we pay more here for the First Edition....
The Floor Boards are FACTORY...here in Australia we have a R18 Deluxe FE that comes with the below Factory fitted options as STD....

Set my pre load to 5 clicks and checked oil level and tyre pressure and all is good...
Also taken the Pillion pegs off and Pillion seat just for a cleaner look as the pillion peg on the rhs blocks that nice looking shaft drive and I only ride solo anyway...

Rode my New R18 First Edition (2020) home this morning as we had a break in the weather.......Greatfull for the heated grips as it was still cold (8celsius)....
I'm a happy vegemate again....
