Yep. I have them. I also dropped the bike - they work!

    R18 vs Harley

Excellent post. I appreciate it. I am looking for critiques both ways and this really helped. Interestingly the R18 slow speed handling challenges is evident to me, however I assumed it was because I am a new rider and simply not proficient. I have no comparison at 65+. So that is...

    R18 vs Harley

Thanks. Sounds about right. Nah, I just meant im getting older and I don’t have time to be switching bikes “just to check it out” when I have something I like now. Thank for the help!

    R18 vs Harley

I figured- great perspective. Doing a 2600 mile Florida to Boston RT in August and if the R18 performs I am married to it. Thanks man

    R18 vs Harley

I am 57. Learned to ride at 55. Only bike has been an R18 first edition Love it and thinking of upgrading to 2025 roctane I keep getting advice to get a Harley - road king, Electra glide…I like touring with a cruiser look (hence the Roctane) Anyone who has ridden both R18 and HD - what’s the...

    Long Hot Road Trip

Not in August:). I’m in Massachusetts now and my bike is stored now for the same reason…it’s why I am moving to FL!

    Long Hot Road Trip

This will be an epic for me - Florida to Cape Cod/I95 in the height of summer. See the folks on the Cape for a few days then back to FL...I'll be lucky if my body doesnt have the catastropic failure! Been living in the Northeast last few years and concur - spring/summer/fall it offers the...

    Long Hot Road Trip

Thanks! Yeah I know it’s gonna be brutal on me…oddly I never worry about that :) just the bike! I have flexibility and grew up in the NE so yeah gotta avoid the tri-state chunk of 95!

    Long Hot Road Trip

So planning a 2600 mile August 24 road trip from Daytona FL (me) to Boston (family) and back. 10 days. August for this ride isn't my timing...family event. Any thoughts on how a 2021 R18 1st Edition will hold up with 10 days of 300-400 miles each in blistering heat and humidity - mainly...

    Hand guards

Ha. Road 300 miles last 2 days in New England...heated grips cooked my palms while the wind numbed the rest of my hand....I don't give a crap what they look like. BMW sells some that look good - but like every OEM part it cost like 1000% more than an after market

    Hand guards

Thanks....coming in years late. NEED hand guards - what models are these? Mounted w/no adaptations on the R18? I have a 2021 R18 1st Edition.

    Osteoporosis and Riding

Thanks for that. Exact same thing - wow. I needed this. I went to the dark place...and the web for all its benefits always takes you there - apparently osteoporosis is just very old, folks, mostly women who are shutting waiting to die...we aren't there. I decided to keep the R18. Maybe...

    Osteoporosis and Riding

Anibal - thank you! i think I will make a go of it on the current bike. At the beginning of the season, I changed from the stock seat to a Mustang and it is great - I can ride it for several hours w/o pain. So I should be fine after I heal from this. And apparently, I'd been riding...

    Osteoporosis and Riding

Thank you. great resource. At the moment - or as soon as I heal from the acute fracture - I can ride pain free. Just way more susceptible to fractures if I drop it - so focus will be on safe, conservative riding!

    Osteoporosis and Riding

Hi Rufus - thank you for the words. Good attitude. Yes there are resources out there - most are geared toward older women (who suffer disproportionately from this)...so it'd be great to hear from a rider who makes it work. That said, when the fractures heal I will slowly start riding again...
