    Wilbers Shock on base model.

Fwiw.. over the last few years I've installed a wilbers on my R18, a Nitron on my r9t and went cheap with YSS on a Triump 1200 Bonnie (mates bike).... all made a great difference. Our roads are not maintained all that well these days.

    R18 suspension upgrade

Congrats. A bit of a no brainer if one can afford it and you intend to keep the bike for a while (in my opinion).

    My 10cts

Very strong sump.... I got my R18 stuck on it.... a 4 man pull.....

    Dang it!!

I've done over 100 changes in my life and just reused the washer. No issues ever. Also... climate change is not the big issue they say. Women can't be men.... and men can't be women. Oops... I went to far....

    R18 suspension upgrade

Wilbur's +20 adds an inch. Anyway, suspension is like people... you can have two people both 5ft 8 tall.... and one can be useless, the other a brain surgeon.

    Pure vs Roctane comfort

+20mm Wilbers shock from suspensions r us in Melbourne.... easy to fit once it arrives. Sorts spring and dampening and increase travel from 90mm to 115mm. Great for aussie roads.... about $1400aud.

What did you do to your R18 today?

Fwiw.... I needed shorter levers to get the bike down a narrow side of a new house.... so I got these.... and thought a bit about the colour etc. But..... I removed the chrome bar end weights as part of tne narrowing excercise anyhow and don't mind the look.

    Let us discuss rear shocks

Yes.... have posted about it back then. Wilbers +20 rear shock shock and in the forks wilbers fork springs, 7wt oil and YSS emulators. 15,000kms on it now.... well worth it if bike is a long term keeper.

    The haters´ magnifying glass

Yes.... much the same as stamp collecting. Product management 101 is "maximise profitability" in the reality of a declining market.

...and now for something completely different

Much the same here roadwise...... I have this bike for those roads... 60% of Australian roads are "unsealed". With the R18 I normally wait to I'm about to wash it and do a "unsealed road ride" before hand if the mood takes me. Over here we have sealed roads, unsealed but maintained...

...and now for something completely different

I went down a rabbit hole a year or so ago watching this guy, the hill climbs with the Hayabusa looked fun.... though like most bike.... heavy and powerfull etc needs real talent and younger bodies. I then went out and road a couple of my "scrambler" routes on my R18..... and it went well...

    The haters´ magnifying glass

I'm going to write in Australian: She's a beauty mate, fair dinkum. Gawd, those hater's are a mob of sheep, stone the crows.
