    Transcontinental Tour pack rack?

I just got the Winderlich in the mail. Haven’t drilled or screwed it in yet. Terrible instructions and no template. Seems a tad uneven. Position it yourself and drill job. Hopefully in the right position and tightened down it will lay flat.

I just did the 6500mile service on my Transcontinental.

The hidden hitches are for a trailer, the application I am looking to use it for will require MORE re-enforcing as there will be more tongue weigh on using it as a rack as opposed to the intended purpose of the hitch, which is the pull weight. I think that if you're looking to use it simply to...

I just did the 6500mile service on my Transcontinental.

I will follow up with the radio issue after the service, as the shop told me that the new software update takes care of the radio not remembering where you left off issue... just assume if I don't repost on that issue that the software update fixed the issue. I will let you guys/gals know only...

No need for a trike with GLK landing gear

I want to be clear from my experience with them, the Flex Gear are not for riding, they are extremely dangerous at speeds over 10 mph. They are basically for parking lots and stop and go traffic.

This was my inspiration, but I have found no way to contact these guys as they are somewhere uncontactable... Kuryakyn makes one too (besides RIVCO) I'm not sure which one I'm going to use, but my understanding is that the rivco might be the more sturdy unit.

I just did the 6500mile service on my Transcontinental.

The hitch is in the concept phase right now. My fabricator is looking at the RIVCO HIDDEN HITCH WITH VERTICAL RECEIVER and seeing what he can do to modify it, re-enforce it, and increase the tongue weight, and make it work for the Transcontinental. It is going to be a winter project so won't...

Thanks! I'm going to grab a set and I'll let you know if that does the trick.

No need for a trike with GLK landing gear

The Landing Gear comes from a company in Korea. They are called Flex Gear. They cost $4700. They were delivered within 2 weeks via DHL but know that DHL will not deliver them until you pay the tax (I don't remember how much that was) The install was rather easy and in all took me about 2 - 3...

I just did the 6500mile service on my Transcontinental.

I love the bike, but there are some complaints. The vibration in the handle bars, it puts my hands to sleep on long trips. I have to wear palm padded gloves. It takes forever for the app to connect to the bike with navigation. The radio doesn't start at where you left off, every time you...

    Side Stand Lean Angle

I installed the Landing Gear... sure I got a lot of laughs, but at the same time a lot of people were jealous, taking pictures, and yelling "cheater" when they saw me cruise in traffic down main street at Sturgis. I never use the kick stand anymore.

Mine must either be broken or has have a governor, because it will not go over 117 (completely unloaded and I only weigh 185). Also, I put the Ciro3d Big Ass Drink Holder on it with the Perch Clutch/Brake Mount (Chrome) on the Right side and it fits perfectly.

R18 Transcontinental or K1600 Grand America?

For all those who say “they have had both”. The post is asking about the Transcontinental, not just a R18, but that specific model. The TC is configured very differently then the classic, and not just the hard bags, but the rake and other changes. As I just picked up the first...

R18 Transcontinental or K1600 Grand America?

All day long I’d much rather be on the K1600 then my muscled up Harley for any trip over 3 hours long (heck, on that note, any trip with traffic too, as the Turbo cooks my leg to a nice medium rare when standing still) , that is the reason why I bought the TC, for the long haul trips. I have...

R18 Transcontinental or K1600 Grand America?

They are two completely different bikes. I just picked up my TC today, only have 150 miles on today, and I can confirm the top speed is only 110 mph, it does handle really well for such a heavy bike due to the shortened rake and I was scraping my boards all day. It is underpowered over 75 mph...

Just picked up my TC today. Only put 150 miles on it today so don’t have a full opinion on the bike just yet. I can confirm the top speed is 110, and it handles like a dream for a big bike. However, in my opinion it is under powered over 75 miles per hour, hopefully they will make stages for...
