BMW Factory Pinstripe

Looking to purchase a R18 Bagger
Does anyone know if the factory BMW pinstripe is applied and then clear coat is applied or is it done on top of the clear coat? I saw some bikes where a stripe was added later and curious to know if it is similar to the factory stripe.

On my black R1200C, the clear coat was over the pinstripe. I think same on the R18.
