Correct Size of Stock Bars on R18 ?

I ordered my R18 with mini-ape handlebars. They are 1 inch diameter and the wire harness was external when I got the bike new.

Is it true that the stock bars are 1.25" diameter with wire harness internal?
If so, the surprise is on me! Someone please clarify.

My situation is that the lower and upper clamping blocks aren't nearly big enough to grab the stock bars that I just bought. (FYI.....the mini apes are a big regret for me)

Sucks man until you get it sorted out. We have all been there. Sell the mini apes and get the bar you want the way you want it. Enjoy the project. Sorry, I don't know the stock bar diameter. Just wanted to send encouragement. \m/
