- R18 FE and RnineT Scrambler
Hi everyone.... a South Australian that recently joined the forum to get some knowledge before buying a friend for my Scrambler. I live rural and bought the scrambler a bit over a year ago as a 60th birthday present for myself.... after a 20 year break from riding.
My intention is to get a R18 FE sometime this year.... the Scrambler I ride mostly in the back country.... dirt and gravel roads mostly.... and the R18 will be a sealed road town to town cruiser bike.... that I polish and stare at.... I haven't washed the scrambler since getting it.
I've already worked out that the R18 suspension is about a s good as the r nine t's... so a rear shock and some fork work will be needed.... go figure.... I run a Nitron rear shock and progresive springs, YSS emulators and lighter oil in the forks.... all a great improvement.
