Those stove pipe exhausts gotta weigh 40 pounds.
Do not ride in the mud.

I have had the privilege of owning both bikes. Clearly both are great, but I prefer the R18 for its perfect engineering and its overall performance

If you really want a bike for comfortable long distance traveling, trade the clunker Harley for a K1600, I prefer the K1600B, keep the R18 for short pleasure trips on sunny days.

I have ton confess that I had a K1600 once and I still have today a R1250 RT. I just completed today a 1.200 km trip in the center of France on twisty roads (Massif Central) and I am amazed by how comfortable the R18 is. I never had any butt, back or neck pain. To me the only real advantage the RT has is the overall protection against rain and it's loading capacity.
