HILL BRAKE OPTION

R 18 Classic
Have a 2023 100 year anniversary edition and really enjoy the bike. I think the R 18 line is a great value in the market right now. The quality and and style are just excellent. This model i purchased does not have the hill brake option. I was wondering if anyone knew if there is a way to program the bike computer to "switch on " this function. It seems like all the hardware is there already. That's why I am thinking it is just a software programing issue.

I did a cursory look over the microfiche and I also don't see any hardware difference between bikes. I used my own 2022 R18TC as the comparison, as I do have hill brake.

That said, try contacting your local BMW motorrad shop and see if they can code it in for you. If they can, expect to pay for the addition.

Interested to see if dealerships are willing to do this. Please keep us updated.
