IF you need to compress the spring most of those tools you see for sale are not strong enough to compress the spring. Those tools you see are made for springs on dual shock bikes. I know cause I've tried using them on other monoshock motorcycles of mine and they will bend and twist. They may not even allow you to finish the installation as they may break during spring removal. I've also tried the tie down method of compressing the spring. Kinda dangerous. IMO, the best, safest, and easiest way is to remove the shock and take it to the motorcycle shop and have the service dept change the spring. They shouldn't charge much to do this. I think I paid 20 bucks.... Just a heads up.Very interresting indeed.
