R1200r triumph tiger 1200
New guy thinking about adding to the remuda. I’ve go a Triump Tiger and a ‘14 bmw R1200R. I’m looking at a ‘21 R18C. Super clean, garage kept, extremely low miles. We shall see if I can pull this off. Thank you for having me! South Texas area.

Either way, get one and you won’t regret it.View attachment 19856View attachment 19855
It’s probably gonna happen when I get back from the holidays. These are very unique bikes and not everyone will “have an eye” for them. I have seen and sat on this low mileage classic. Hope to get it fired up and take it for a ride. He is the perfect seller. All of his bikes are garage kept and serviced once a year. I feel he gave me an excellent deal on the ‘14 R1200R and appears the same will happen with this one. It will leave him with one bmw bike to ride, when he is ready to riding again. Should he want to ride my R1200 or (hopefully) the R1800, I can make it happen easily enough. He’s been a good friend and client for years.

Thanks, Viejajefita. It's a good-looker, loaded with aftermarket extras and gets attention at every stop. At my age, I'm thinking about going back to a lighter bike that's more comfortable for long-distance touring.

Kind of what I’m trying to figure out. Is this thing for riding to the coffee shop on weekends all polished up and hanging with the boys? Is this bike capable of a jaunt down I-10 then to Brenum and on up to college station? Have some groceries then come back through dime box and hit all the small towns. Your thoughts please sir. I am not the coffee shop guy. Yet.

I took mine on a month-long trip to the eastern Canadian provinces from Texas back in June and July, and prepared by adding everything that I thought it would take to make the long trip more comfortable - Wunderlich Sport Fairing, BMW saddlebags, Wunderlich floor boards, Mustang Weekender seat and driver's backrest, Wilbers suspension - in hopes that it might make this 800 lb. cruiser into more of a cross-country bike. I made the trip OK, but I would never say I was comfortable for long-hours in the saddle. I realized too late that for that kind of trip, my old GSA would have been a better choice for the road conditions that I encountered in Canada - rain, fog, potholes, narrow roads with tight corners, etc. The R18 was a real beast to maneuver. I've since decided my R18 is a great heavyweight street cruiser, and I'm going to appreciate it for what it is - not what I wanted it to be. :)
