Maybe consider taking your bike into a BMW service shop to have the Reverse Recall perform and use the $1,000 compensation credit towards the BMW Heritage Bobber seat...

Your current seat is looking pretty uncomfortable as pictured, I can't imagine how it feels after a few miles down the road...

Anyway, there tons of good technical information throughout the forum; look forward to reading up on your Bobber project..
 
It really isn’t uncomfortable, I’ve been riding on treadplate seats for 30 years, upholstery causes chafing on long rides treadplate doesn’t, tip I got from a patient of mine that rides long, says she’d rather sit on the fender than upholstery for that reason.
