If anyone is interested I switched to MOTUL 7100 15w50 at 24,000 miles from Advantec Pro 15w50 and have found it to be superior in that it smoothed out my engine and increased my fuel economy. I contacted MOTUL and asked about going to 7100 20w50 because I live in S. FL or switching to 300V either viscosity and this was their response. They also provided me all the testing specifications of both oils along with more useful information if any interested in the full report I received just ask. Here is the summary of what they suggested:
"In summary, we recommend sticking with the Motul 7100 15W-50 to align with BMW's specifications for optimal performance across your varying climates. If South Florida's heat proves particularly challenging (e.g., consistent oil temps over 250°F), consider testing the 7100 20W-50 during your time there, but monitor for any changes in cold-start behavior upon returning north. The 300V, while superior in racing scenarios, isn't ideal for your street-oriented use."
