Just purchased a set of 17 L OEM saddlebags for my 1st edition and realized they can't be locked on the saddlebag frame. Does anyone have a work around to secure these expense bags to prevent theft on the bike?

I bought a shoulder strap and take the bag with me as a shoulder bag in criminally unsafe areas. You can also secure the saddle bag to the mounting bracket with a helmet lock cable, but the bag itself doesn't lock, so in unsafe areas it is better just to take it with you. In most places however, I rely on the fact that no one expects the saddle bag to be freely removable, since both the bike is rare and the bags are rare.
