R 18 Transcontinental - Italy

Hi,
on march 12th (yesterday) I collected from the BMW dealer my new R18 Transcontinental. I come from the HD world (6 Harley Touring bikes from 2015 to 2021: Road King, CVO Street Glide, CVO Limited, Road Glide Ultra, CVO Street Glide again, CVO Road Glide) and this year I wanted to change (didn't like the choice by HD to put the CVO 117 engine on the ST line this year) with something different. I loved the "statuary" 1800 cc Boxer engine and the high level of every detail of this bike.
I'm based in Milan, Italy.

Tomorrow, after this week end riding the bike on very well known roads many times ridden with my former HD bikes, I'll start to write a sort of "bike review from an HD point of view". Strength and weakness points are quite clear.
