I could easily beleive that they made more than they could sell - seems the obvious reason for the big discounts seen at dealers for demo models. I'm ok with that. I like the bike for what it is, and a bit of rarity never hurts.

Thought this might be a better venue to free up the Customs thread.

My expierence and thoughts as I got this bike speciffically to add a sidecar.So,yeah,the price incentives and reverse gear definitely key in the purchase.The look and build quality sold me after going to the dealer.Paint,fit & finish is excellent.
As far as worring about sales or lack of.I am lovin this bike.It is "fun as hell".The engine is a freakin hoot!Sure not the fastest but Badd A$$!Something else I hav not heard mentioned is:The transmission has perfect gearing.With the torque from the engine BMW can run a taller 1st gear which helps with my slow speed manurers with the sidecar.I highly recommend anyone thinking of adding a side hack to go for it.

yep. Agree with all that and, on your advice and direction from my wife, I’ve ordered a Hannigan sidecar for one of my classics. It’s only money, and less than it should be given the BMW incentives. Loving this motorcycle.
