Rear shock Thoughts

Reading the manual, it says the rear shock is progressive. Meaning it gets stiffer as the travel increases.

SO thinking about that, the shock is the softest at the top of the stroke. Raise the bike up and it rides better, I have tried this and its true.

Setting the sag to 25% of the travel will put you in the best place for a soft ride from the shock.
I am going for 22 mm.

Rather than the travel, don't you think the adjustment should be done according to the rider+passenger weight ?
There is a thread here about that concern, I'm unable to find it back.

Sag is the amount of suspension used when not moving.

Take the total travel, divide by 25%. This is how much the bike should go down with rider on from the top. Measurement is taken over the top of the rear axle. I used the top of my saddle bag.

Front should be 33%.

The bike has to sit in the suspension at the right place. Some have linkage, some do not. In order to use all the available suspension, This is where it starts.
