Using Harley Quick Detach rack on R18

Hi all,

I have been looking for a way to install a quick detach/quick release top box on my R18 classic. I used to have a Harley Road King with the four point mounting system.

I recently found this on amazon https://amzn.to/4fw26mw They say that it fits the R18 and in the pictures it shows an adapter that seems to allow the four point rack to fit to the R18 - picture below.

Has anyone seen or used this or something similar?

I've been looking at the same and just found this. Haven't ordered it yet to try it but it looks promising. You can order direct too.

Good spot. I have just read it again and it is saying only bagger and TC. Not sure if those have different mounting points. I already have a 4 point docking rack, so I would love to be able to just buy the adapter arms.

I looked at the link. Don’t know if the picture is real or manipulated, but they show the rack on a Classic.

I have emailed them. I really hope that the adapter kit works on a classic as it really would open up a ton of luggage options based on the 4 point docking system.

It looks like there is another part number that is compatible with the classic, but I can't find it on the website using the search.

I just googled that part number and found this. Still looks like for Trans Con and not Classic.

I also found that one. But it isn't quick release anyway.

Feels like it might be worth getting a local engineering shop to make a bracket if nobody else is doing it.

I installed this on my bagger yesterday. I'm not sure if the classic has the same mounting points but here's where it attached.

Thanks! I don't think the classic has that. Although I think maybe the holes in the mudguard might be the same.
