How about some short daily ride reports? Do you ride to eat? Do you commute? Do you run errands? Are you off for the day and taking a ride? Whatever it is and wherever you went, post it here!

I took the wife out to eat today. We went to an Argentinian empanada place called Marinis. The original location (still there) is in Houston. The one we went to is in Wallis which is about 45 miles from Houston. No Interstate to get there, mostly highways. To our surprise, the place was to go only unlike the other restaurant in Houston. We still ordered and enjoyed ourselves.

Well... my daily ride is back and forth to work ... @35 Miles (or 45 if I take the scenic route) ... and then Uschi waits patiently between the Library and the Museum for corporate to take my shackles off and we can ride home together

No picture from today's ride but I'll do better next time.
Rode on backroads up to Arlington, Washington this morning from my home in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. Took the I-5 freeway back. Round trip 72 miles. First real fun ride on my R18. I've had it just over a week now and work's been busy. I don't generally commute by motorcycle so the weekends are my best chance to get some wind therapy.
Man, I'm loving this bike. Even enjoying the ride modes which I didn't think I'd make use of. Having the Roll mode option when cruising on the freeway is nice. Smooth and still plenty of power for adjusting position.
Mirrors are out far enough to be useful, something that was a constant fight for me with my Triumph. I ended up solving that with bar end units. Won't need to on the R18.
Today was a great riding day and validated my choice of this bike over the much more expensive Harleys I test rode when I was on the lookout for a new bike.
I'm a happy man.
